Vacation pics

I put a few vacation pictures on the last post, but here's the bulk of them. We got back Sunday from a week at Tybee Island and Savannah (thanks mom and dad!). Even though we stayed on the island, we only really went to the beach twice, for less than two hours each time! I guess we'll have to admit that we're not really "beach" people. Savannah was amazing, though. Chris and I had never been, and we really enjoyed walking around. It was pretty hot and sticky, but really pretty trees and buildings.

Here's munchkin on a trolley ride. We never do those, but it was the best way to see the city in a short amount of time. Leni did not love sitting for the trip, though, so we kept trading her between our seats. She looks pretty cute here, though. Being momentarily entertained by Uncle Nathan and Aunt Avery
Walking on the river front-she was very interested in this bear, particularly in the basket of flowers.

Mom bought her an umbrella for Christmas, but she carried it around downtown too. She liked it very much.
The house where we stayed was unbelievably nice-just built last year. This was one of Leni's favorite games-climbing in and out of a stool under the bar.
Mom had this hat in the RV on the way down, and it was a favorite toy
At the beach with Poppy

At the beach with the lighthouse in the background
Playing with daddy
Mom playing Guitar Hero...fairly entertaining!
Snuggling with Uncle Nathan and Aunt Avery
Another new fun game-jumping off the ottoman. The next two pictures are the before and after shots. She's learned to count "one, two, three", but generally forgets one.

The second time at the beach there was an area like a little pond-maybe 20 feet by 6 feet and never more than 8 inches deep. I don't know what made it do that, but it was like the perfect pool for Elena-she could explore to her heart's content.

Walking around one of the squares in Savannah-I think she'd been jumping
Her Halloween costume came this week-here's a preview of next month! She's also saying "no" to me taking her picture.

That's it for vacation. She'll be 20 months old tomorrow, and it is just starting to strike me that when she's 23 months, we'll have another baby. It seems pretty insane, and pretty insanely close! Maeve is pretty active at this point, and likes to kick her big sister whenever she's against me. Mama gets wallowed on inside and out, which is a lot sometimes!

Tybee is a nice place to visit! Looks like you had fun with your whole family there. I did not know that Avery was pregnant! This is an exciting time for your family. Great pics of Elena as usual!

Looks like fun! Glad you guys are back. It's hard to believe only 3 more months until Maeve! Can't wait...

Just to add-Avery isn't pregnant. I'm not sure where that came from...though we are excited about a cousin coming soon from Chris's side!

hey ashley- so fun to see what's going on in your lives. I wish John and I could be two of your 90 regulars at the market :-) I've often thought that an Ashley Sprinkle restaurant would be a great idea.
