3 weeks and 5 days

Aunt Avery and Uncle Nathan sent Elena a postcard that says "Don't Mess With Texas". She's reading it in her bouncy seat, and even holding it in her hand. I couldn't get the picture of her tongue sticking out fast enough...

We've learned that when you can't soothe her any other way, a little dancing and really fast music will work. She loves her pacifier, but she turns into zombie baby with it and zones out. I think they're dancing to Bob Dylan here. Also, a good opportunity for me and her daddy to introduce her to decent music.
On the left is Chris and Elena-she fell asleep this way. It doesn't look terribly comfortable to me, but she was pretty happy on her daddy.





This is Leni's activity mat. She used to get overstimulated when we put her on it, and now she reaches for the toys. See her holding up her head? Genius baby...


Here she is with her new best friend, her pacifier. She cries now if it falls halfway out of her mouth.
